fish known solely from Romania include the Romanian Loach Sabanejewia romanica
(FishBase),
an extinct stickleback Gasterosteus
crenobiontus (Ittiofauna),
a rudd Scardinius racovitzai (Carpathian Basin), the recently described Arges Sculpin Cottus
transsilvaniae (IUCN
Red List),
and a critically endangered endemic genus, the Asprete Romanichthys valsanicola

An endemic marine fish is a goby Knipowitschia
cameliae

known only from the Danube Delta in the Black Sea.
Cave beetles unique to Romania include a ground beetle Clivina
