Kuwait
Land invertebrates known only from Kuwait include a scorpion Leiurus kuwaiti (Scorpion Files), a disc web spider Oecobius alhoutyae (p. 4 of SSSN pdf), a scarab beetle Pentodon kuwaitense (nhmus WM pdf), a darkling beetle Eurycaulus lilligi (p. 7 of naturkundemuseum-bw.de WM pdf), and several ants: Cardiocondyla opistopsis (AntWiki), Monomorium buettikeri (AntWiki) and Monomorium subcomae (AntWiki), .
Marine species known solely from Kuwait include a snapping shrimp Salmoneus ikaros (GBIF), a telescope shrimp Ogyrides sindibadi (Brill), a copepod Neoleptastacus supersetosus (PLAZI), the molluscs Scalptia larissaensis (Pl. 12D-F at ResearchGate) and Ostrea oleomargarita (ZooKeys), a nematode worm Manunema kithara (GBIF), the polychaete worms Pseudopolydora kuwaiti (p. 24 of EJT pdf) and Pkyh kubbarensis (Wiley) and Ophelina arabica (GBIF), and an undescribed nudibranch (ZooKeys). A ghost shrimp Kuwaitupogebia nithyanandan, previously considered the sole member of a separate family Kuwaitupogebiidae, has recently been shown to be a synonym of the wide-ranging Upogebia balmaorum (ResearchGate).
Marine fishes known only from Kuwait include the gobies Coryogalops monospilus (p. 71 of SAIAB pdf) (fig. 5c at ResearchGate) (IUCN) and Aulopareia vadosa (GBIF).
A sea lavender Limonium failachicum (ResearchGate) (GBIF) from Failaka Island is the only endemic vascular plant.
