Jan Mayen

There are at least three dandelion microspecies endemic to Jan Mayen: Taraxacum brachyrhynchum (GBIF) (fig. 25 of CORE pdf), Taraxacum recedens (GBIF) (fig. 26 of CORE pdf), and Taraxacum torvum (GBIF) (fig. 27 of CORE pdf).

A bryozoan Smittoidea pourquoipasi (VLIZ) is known only from the type specimen caught off Jan Mayen.

The island is a territory of Norway.
