Insects unique to Norway include a grass-miner moth Elachista tanaella (BHL) (BOLD), a caddisfly Holocentropus varangensis (ZOBODAT pdf), the Dragonhead Sap Beetle Meligethes norvegicus (Naturakivet), a leaf beetle Galerucella anserina (GBIF), a rove beetle Cypha norvegica (ResearchGate), a parasitic wasp Blastothrix osloensis (ResearchGate), and a gall midge Systasis edlandi (NJE WM pdf). A butterfly Hipparchia norvegica (no.wikipedia) (Den Danske Natur WM) is sometimes considered a full species distinct from the widespread Rock Grayling Hipparchia alcyone.
Families of invertebrates so far known only from Norway include a copepod crustacean Anomoclausiidae (ResearchGate) and and a parasitic copepod Pholoicolidae (GBIF) of a non-endemic polychate worm.
